Cancellation Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026. This policy explains cancellation and change expectations for translation and interpretation services coordinated through Syntex.
1. Before assignment
Requests cancelled before a vendor is assigned are generally cancelled without service charges, unless work has already started at your direction or third-party costs were incurred.
2. After assignment
Changes or cancellations after assignment may incur fees depending on notice window and vendor work already committed (including scheduled time, preparation, and travel holds).
3. Minimum charge for late cancellations
A minimum charge may apply to cancellations made within twenty-four hours of the delivery deadline (translation jobs) or within twenty-four hours of the scheduled assignment (interpretation jobs). This reflects reserved capacity and vendor opportunity cost.
4. Time-sensitive changes
Requests to change date, time, language, or location close to service time may include late-change fees or require admin approval if vendors cannot reasonably accommodate the change.
5. Refunds and disputes
Eligible refunds, if any, are processed according to your invoice and payment terms and may reference Stripe refund timelines. Disputes may be filed through the portals as described in product documentation.
